“ The chips are fresh (not to thick and not to thin) and the salsa has this awesome flavor that I can't put my finger on. The dish I had was called Maria's Salad with fajita chicken. I added a scoop of guacamole, dressing on the side and it was amazing!!! I can't wait to go back and try it with the Salmon. My husband had Pork Stew Chile Relleno and he said it was delicious as well! The prices may be a little higher than the average Mexican restaurants but you leave stuffed (because the servings are big) and with a big smile on your face (because of how tasty the food is)! ”

“ Family recently moved to Terrell so we ate here for the first time last week. It was overall a wonderful experience!! The service was friendly and attentive, and we were seated quickly. All of our food was delicious! The white queso and chips were fresh, the steak fajita meat ok jesse’s special was tender, and the soppapillas were sweet and enough for 4 to share especially after 4 entrees. Overall, a great experience and we look forward to trying more things on the menu! ”

“ We ate here on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Angel P. was our server. He was friendly and attentive and took very good care of us. My wife and I and our friend who was visiting knew we were in for a good meal when they brought out their homemade salsa and fresh chips. The salsa was so good we had to buy some to take home. I had the Chipotle Chicken Enchilada plate. The chipotle sauce was really tasty and the chicken was cooked perfectly in the enchilada. The rice and the beans were really good as well. My wife had the Chile Relleno plate. She said it was one of the best chile relleno she's ever tasted. Our friend (who happens to be a vegetarian) had the Chipotle Cheese Enchilada plate with one Spinach Tamale. She raved about her whole meal. My wife and I live in Mabank and we don't have a Mexican restaurant even close to the quality of Rio Lerma. It's only about 35 minutes away so we will be coming back for sure P.S. The price is very reasonable. ”
“ A local Mexican restaurant in the Terrell downtown area. The service was great and the food was even better. Portions were large and the menu had a large variety as well. The chips and salsa are free. The salsa was very mild and had such a good flavor. I got the sour cream chicken enchiladas and they were the best in the area. Most places skimp on sour cream and the standard plate has 2 enchiladas. This place made sure to give you plenty of sour cream and 3 enchiladas. Also the rice was super fluffy with peas and carrots, so good! My husband had the Hugo's Enchiladas and he said that it was just as good. But the best dish tonight was the Brisket Enchiladas. My mom had these enchiladas and they were sooooo good. It was like a pot roast but Mexican style. Just get them. ”
“ Found this spot from Google when my mom & I were driving cross-country & needed to stop somewhere for food. The reviews looked good & so did the food/menu so we decided to stop. We were NOT disappointed! The customer service was great, our waitress was very attentive & fast, the FOOD was AMAZING. When I read other reviews I saw someone recommend the brisket quesadilla so we got it and whoever that was, you were right! It was delicious! In total we got the burrito ranchero (I think, if I remember correctly), the brisket quesadilla, & the brisket stuffed avocado. If you are craving authentic Mexican food, this is definitely the place to stop at. We were so happy when we left. If we are ever in Terrell, TX we will DEFINITELY be stopping by again! ”
“ Excellent food! The store was very clean and staff was friendly, very helpful and great service. Starting off I ordered a Dr. Pepper that tasted clean and crisp, almost like what you would get out of a bottle. My G/F ordered a strawberry daiquiri that was very good! She is a picky drinker and has sent drinks back for being made with cheap liquor, she took her first drink and said it was very good. Queso was ordered as an appetizer and WOW! Quite tasty! I ordered steak fajitas that were very, very tender and well seasoned! Talk about some juicy steak strips that melt in your mouth. The display was great when they came out. I might be going out on a limb but I think they are the best fajitas I've ever eaten. Entire store was very clean, bathrooms included. All employees were dressed very well and very friendly! I need more than 5 stars to give yall!! Well done to the cook and waitress!! Especially the cook!!!! ”
